Ventilation Issues Reduce North Sea Oil Production
The Brent Charlie platform which produces 26,000 barrels of Shells North Sea Oil prouction had to cut output significantly following a health and safety inspection.
A heating, ventilation and air conditioning system caused sufficient concern to the Health and Saftey Executive as it was not removing the gas from the platform as it was intended to do.
Shell has organised repairs on the platform which will return production to full capacity but in the meantime, prouction has been reduced while the plan is approved by the HSE.
